A safe space to get real about parenting.
Parenting is messy, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming. You don’t need another list of “shoulds” or well-meaning advice that doesn’t fit your family—you need a space to be honest about what’s hard, what’s working, and where you’re stuck. Coaching at the Parenting-ish Project is that space: judgment-free, rooted in experience, and focused on you.
Our Services
Big decisions, without the pressure.
The transition from high school to post-secondary life is a huge leap. Teens and young adults are bombarded with expectations—family, friends, schools, all asking, “What’s next?” Coaching creates a supportive space to figure it out step by step.
What we focus on together:
Exploring career and education options in a low-pressure way
Identifying personal strengths, interests, and motivators
Sorting through the difference between what you want and what others expect
Building independence skills (time management, communication, self-advocacy)
Creating a timeline: when to start planning, what deadlines to know, and how to prepare without overwhelm
When to start:
Ideally, planning for post-secondary should begin before grade 12, whether that’s researching schools, exploring career fields, or simply clarifying personal goals. But it’s never too late. Coaching can help at every stage, from “I don’t even know where to start” to “I need to get my applications in now.”
👉 Designed for teens, tweens, and young adults preparing for college, training programs, or their first career path. Sessions focus on self-discovery and practical planning.
As your coach, I bring both professional training and lived experience as a parent. That means:
You get a guide who understands what it feels like to be stretched thin, worried, or second-guessing.
You get a perspective that helps you see the patterns behind daily stress.
You get tools and strategies tailored to your family, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Unlike talking with your partner, relatives, or even other parents, coaching gives you space that’s completely your own. Sometimes the healthiest move is to process outside your inner circle, with someone who can help you sort through the noise and move toward clarity.
Topics we might cover include:
Handling transitions (new schools, new routines, growing independence)
Building communication habits that ease conflict and strengthen connection
Reframing “parent guilt” and unrealistic expectations
Finding calm strategies for daily stressors
Realigning family routines to what works best for your household
👉 Sessions are available as single bookings or bundled packages. Every session is about you leaving with clarity, strategies, and a lighter load.
